A Childhood Love

A crown of daisies entwined in her hair,
Ribbons tied to her dress dangling everywhere;
Mommy's string of pearls reaching down to her thigh,
She looks at the boy and lets out a sigh.

I Do

The sun sinks lower in the evening sky,
Your beauty is all that catches my eye;
Walking down the aisle in a dress of white,
An image of perfection in the dwindling light.

Lucky

You say that I should let you know,
To finally let my feelings show;
To say what I feel deep inside,
It never comes; I have tried.

Anything

A warm tranquil breeze, a fresh blooming flower,
A moonlight reflection on this midnight hour;
Thin beams of light shine all around,
The night passes by with barely a sound.

To You

The past in my life had been empty and cold,
I was deathly shy and never was bold;
And then one summer I would discover
The best thing to have in life is a lover.
